　　Step 1:Warming up

　　(1)Greeting as usual.

　　(2) I will share a song with them to lead out the topic. The song is like this:

　　“Doctor, actor, lawyer or singer, ”

　　“Why not president be a dreamer?”

　　“You can be just the one you wanna be.”

　　Next, I will lead out the topic

　　This song is closely related to the topic of this lesson. Besides, it is a pop song. By doing this, I can arouse their interest in learning the following knowledge and lead out the topic. What’s more, the lyrics of this song include different jobs, so that students could also review some words about jobs from it.

　　Step 2: Presentation

　　(1)Guide students to have a free talk bout what do they want to do when they grow up. I will receive many like”singer or engineer”. Then I will lead them to answer the following questions, for example, How are you going to do that? When and where are you doing to work?

　　(2)After the free talk, I will write what they have talked about with the sentence structure “I’m going to do”. At the same time, they should figure out the similarities among the sentences on the blackboard.

　　(3)Then, I will tell them the function of it. It is used to express future intention.

　　(4)Write structure and function on the black board explaining the usage of them.

　　Step 3: Practice

　　(1)Match what these people want to do with what they are going to do.

　　For example, they need to match “I want to be a car diver.” with “I am going to buy a car.”

　　(2)Describe the picture on the screen by using the sentence patterns that we’ve learned today. They may give me the answer like: She wants to be a doctor. She is going to study medicine at a university. She is going to work in London.

　　Step 4: Production

　　(1)Lead my students to do a survey in group of four. I will give them 10 minutes.

　　(2)Invite some of them to come front and share their survey result.

　　(3)As their instructor, I’ll help correct their mistakes if they mispronounce, and raise them for their good performance.

　　Step 5: Summary and Homework

　　(1)Let the student summarize what we have learned today.

　　(2)Chat with friends about their holiday plans by using the sentence structures we’ve learned.
